One 5-second AI face swap video costs between about $0.12 and $1.00, depending on the app and the plan, as of October 28, 2026. Viggle and Magic Hour are the cheapest per clip at about $0.12, Remaker is about $0.15, Viro is $0.83 on its weekly plan and $0.50 on its yearly plan, and DeepSwap is about $1.00. Reface, Vidnoz and Akool do not publish what one video costs.
Those numbers are worked out from each app’s own pricing page, help pages or App Store listing, all read on October 28, 2026. Every source is linked at the end. The apps do not do quite the same thing, so the second half of this post explains what you get for the money.
The price of one 5-second clip
Most face swap apps sell credits, and a video costs a number of credits per second or per block of seconds. To compare them, we took each app’s cheapest plan that includes video face swap, divided the price by the credits, and multiplied by what a 5-second clip uses.
| App | Cheapest plan with video | What a video costs in credits | One 5-second clip |
|---|---|---|---|
| Viggle | Pro, $9.99 a month (80 credits) | 1 credit per 15 seconds of animation | about $0.12 |
| Magic Hour | Creator, $12 a month billed yearly (12,000 credits a month) | from 24 credits a second | about $0.12 |
| Remaker | Pack of 200 credits, $5.99 once | 1 credit a second | about $0.15 |
| Viro | Pro Yearly, $59.99 a year (100 credits a month) | 10 credits a video | $0.50 |
| Viro | Pro Weekly, $9.99 a week (120 credits a week) | 10 credits a video | $0.83 |
| DeepSwap | 1 month, $19.99 once (20 credits) | 1 credit per started 15 seconds | about $1.00 |
| Reface | From $2.49 a week (US App Store) | Not published | Not published |
| Vidnoz | $12.99 a month (180 credits) | Not published for face swap | Not published |
| Akool | Starter, $12 a month per seat billed yearly (200 credits) | “4+ credits” for face swap | Not published |
Three of these come with a caveat:
- Viggle charges one credit for up to 15 seconds of animation. We assumed a 5-second clip uses one whole credit. If Viggle bills by the second, a clip costs closer to $0.04. Its pricing table also lists “unlimited videos” per day on paid plans, so some uses may not need credits at all.
- Magic Hour lists “from 24 credits a second” for face swap video, which is the lowest rate. Longer or higher-quality jobs can cost more. The 12,000 credits a month are on the yearly plan; the monthly plan is $19.
- DeepSwap is half price on a first order, which brings a clip to about $0.50 the first month. Any part of 15 seconds counts as a full 15, so a 5-second clip costs the same as a 15-second one.
What a month of videos costs
Price per clip only tells half the story. Most people want a few videos a week, and plans differ in how many you get and how the bill comes. Here is what each one costs for a month, and how many 5-second clips that buys on its own numbers.
| App | Plan | Cost for a month | Clips in that month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Viro | Pro Yearly | $5.00 ($59.99 a year) | 10 |
| Viro | Pro Weekly | about $43 ($9.99 a week) | about 52 |
| Viggle | Pro, monthly | $9.99 | up to 80 |
| Magic Hour | Creator, billed yearly | $12 ($144 a year) | about 100 |
| Remaker | 200-credit pack | $5.99 once, no expiry stated | 40 |
| DeepSwap | 1 month | $19.99 once | 20 |
Weekly plans are the easiest to misread. A weekly price runs 4.3 times a month, so $9.99 a week is about $43 a month and $4.99 a week (Viggle’s weekly plan in its iPhone app) is about $22. If you plan to keep making videos, a yearly plan is almost always cheaper per clip: Viro’s Pro Yearly is $1.15 a week.
Why the prices are so different
The cheapest tools and the most expensive ones are not selling the same thing.
You bring the video, or the app does
Magic Hour, Remaker, DeepSwap and Vidnoz swap a face into a video you upload. You need the clip first: film yourself doing the dance, or find someone else’s video. The app replaces the face and leaves the rest of the frame as it is. That is a lighter job, and it is priced by the second.
Viggle is in between. It takes a photo and a motion video or template, and animates the character to the motion.
Viro starts from the trend. Each one on this week’s list is already set up: the clip, the moves, the camera, the timing. You add one selfie and get the whole trend with your face in about a minute. Making the full body move like the original takes much more computing than swapping a face into an existing frame, which is why one Viro video costs more than a second of swap elsewhere.
What the price includes
| Viro | Viggle | Magic Hour | Remaker | DeepSwap | |

| Renews on its own | Yes, cancel anytime | Yes | Yes | No | No |
Where the money goes
Every AI video costs the app real money in computing for each second it makes. Apps that run their own models at large scale, or that let free users wait in a queue, can price lower. Apps that use the strongest models for full-body motion pay more per second and pass that on. App Store plans also carry Apple’s 15 to 30 percent fee, which is one reason the same app can cost more in its iPhone app than on its website: Viggle’s Live plan is $19.99 a month on the web and $24.99 in the App Store.
Hidden costs to look for
- Rounding. DeepSwap charges a full credit for any part of 15 seconds. A 16-second video costs two credits.
- Resolution. Magic Hour’s free clips are 480p. Akool’s free face swap uploads are capped at 720p and 30 seconds.
- Watermarks. Viggle, Magic Hour, Vidnoz and Akool watermark free results. Akool’s free watermark covers the full screen.
- Storage. Viggle keeps free-plan files for 7 days. Download what you want to keep.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew until you cancel. Trials turn into paid plans on the last day. DeepSwap and Remaker sell one-off purchases that do not renew.
- Your photos. The cheapest plan is not a bargain if your face is kept for a year or used to train models. See what happens to your selfie in a face swap app.
Which one to pick
- You already have the video and only want the face changed: Magic Hour or Remaker are the cheapest per clip.
- You want to animate a character or meme to a motion: Viggle, with a big template library and a free daily allowance.
- You want this week’s TikTok trend with your face, without filming anything: Viro. Pick a trend, add a selfie, and the first 4-second video is free with the 3-day trial. Pro Yearly brings each video down to $0.50.

FAQ
What is the cheapest AI face swap video app?
Per clip, Viggle and Magic Hour come out cheapest, at about $0.12 for a 5-second clip on their entry plans as of October 28, 2026. Remaker is about $0.15 and DeepSwap about $1.00. Viro is about $0.83 on Pro Weekly and $0.50 on Pro Yearly.
Is there a free AI face swap video app?
Several have a free tier. Magic Hour gives 3 video face swaps a day up to 10 seconds at 480p, and Viggle gives 5 videos a day, both with a watermark. Viro's first 4-second video is free and unlocks with a plan or the 3-day trial.
Why do face swap apps sell weekly plans?
Weekly plans are common in phone apps because the first payment looks small. Over a month a weekly plan costs about 4.3 times its price, so $9.99 a week is about $43 a month.
Why does Viro cost more per clip?
Each Viro video is a finished TikTok trend with motion transfer, made from one selfie. Most cheaper tools swap a face into a video you film or upload yourself, which takes less computing per second.
